I'm Yong-han Park, Director General of Ulsan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries.
Since its opening in 1963, Ulsan Port has grown to position of the largest industrial complex support port in korea and currently handles the nation's third-largest quantity of goods. The handling of liquid cargo, including oil, is the No. 1 port in the country, which serves as the driving force for the development of national economy as well as Ulsan regional economy.
Furthermore, the goverment-run Northeast Oil Hub project and the Ulsan New Port development project are actively being carried out in order to make a leap into the world's three largest liquid cargo handling ports.
The ulsan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries will continue to expand port infrastructure and establish a strong maritime traffic safety base to create a safe and convenient port environment so that Ulsan Port can ensure competitiveness as a global port.
